Installing R:

  1. Go to https://cran.r-project.org
  2. Download R based on your operating system: choose from Linux, Mac, or Windows.
  3. Install the "base" distribution.

For a more aesthetically-pleasing interface for coding in R, install RStudio:

  1. Go to https://www.rstudio.com
  2. Click "Download RStudio" and then download RStudio Desktop.
